Designing Your House to Sell

Right, so we are now ready to take your home to market.

Pretend It Is Not Your Home

You need to look at your home through the eyes of the buyer.  To help this process, go to someone else's Open Home.  You noticed that grubby mail box, rusty hinges, dirty cupboards.  what else did you notice?  Now run your critical eye over your own home.  This is hard to do but will pay off in the long run.

Think 'Show Home'

As most people look at pictures on the internet before attending any Open Home, your pictures must intrgue them.  If they look dark and dingy... you will intrigue them into thinking 'bargain'... if they look as good as a show home... you will be rewarded with more Open Home attendees and more competitive buyers when it comes time to negotiate.

De-clutter and De-personalise

A house that is furnished well will appeal to more people than a house that is unfurnished... however you must ensure potential buyers can mentally see past your 'stuff" and start visualising their 'stuff' in the house.

Odd Jobs

Take care of all those odd jobs you have been meaning to get done.  Repaint the window ledge, paint the front step, edge the lawns, rake the leaves, tidy the pantry etc.  I can go through a list with you of all the things I can see that will make a difference.  Email me now for an appraisal.
